Composed of 90% astragalus membranaceus root extract—renowned for its anti-aging benefits—and deeply moisturizing jojoba seed oil, this gel nourishes your skin while forming a breathable barrier. Applied at the end of your skincare routine, it seals in hydration and nutrients, keeping your skin cool, supple, and protected.
Recommended for: Mature skin, all skin types.
How to use:
- Balancing Gel forms a strong moisture barrier on the skin. Due to its unique texture, it may clump when rubbed, so it’s best applied as a thin layer in the final step of your skincare routine, after your moisturizer.
- Gently massage all over the face and dab for better absorption.
Tip: If the gel clumps or shifts during application, gently press it with your fingertips, and it will return to its original smooth form.

The consistency surprised me in the beginning, but it is indeed hydrating and since it takes a while to be adsorbed, I am using it to massage my face. Love it!

When I first looked up this product I read that many people were struggling with the application due to the honey-like texture. I personally apply the gel by tapping it onto my skin when it’s still a bit damp from my previous step. I do this as the last step in my skincare routine, in the evening. It seems to work well for me that way! I feel like it locks in the other products, because the next day my face feels so hydrated. My skin is very dry, sensitive and prone to atopic eczema, and I tolerate this gel really well. No allergic reactions or sensitivities and for someone like me who has very reactive skin, that’s great! I’m not sure how I would fare with it if I have an active eczema flare, as my skin is doing pretty good lately. But in any case I feel like it really helps in making my skin look healthy and plump in combination with the rest of my skincare routine. I would not recommend the Balancing Gel to people with oily skin though. Even though I really like this product I’ve noticed that I have been getting a few pimples since using it, so I wonder if it’s comedogenic.

Bei der Konsistenz des Produktes dachte ich bei meiner empfindlichen Mischhaut, dass ich am nächsten Morgen eine Speckschwarte habe die seinesgleichen sucht. Überhaupt nicht. Ich bin begeistert. Als alleinige Pflege würde ich es nicht verwenden, da ggf. nicht ergiebig bzw. ausgleichend genug, aber um wirklich die Wirkstoffe einzuschließen, perfekt. Habe das Gel auch hinter meinen Ohren angewendet wo ich zwar keine Schuppenflechte habe, aber auch ständig stark schuppige trockene Haut, auf welcher bisher alle anderen Cremes/Gele liegen blieben. Bei dem Gel passiert dies nicht und die Problematik ist verschwunden. Auch die trockenen Stellen auf meiner Nasenspitze und zwischen den Augenbrauen / auf den Augenbrauen sind verschwunden und das alles ohne die Poren auf der Nase zu verstopfen. Auch meine zu Rötungen neigenden Wangen haben keine Verschlimmerung erfahren. Werde noch mehr Produkte der Marke ausprobieren.
